The New Zealand money is the NZ dollar / NZ$ with the $1 being divided into 100 cents.

The notes are very colourful and come in the following notes; $100, $50, $20, $10, and $5. NZ coins are valued at; $2, $1, 50c, 20c, and 10c. The old 5c coin having been phased out means that any amount that doesn't add up to 10c is rounded up or down. For example, if the cost is $2.06c it would be rounded up to $2.10c in New Zealand money.
Prior to 1992, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll was pictured on all New Zealand banknotes but despite protests from some people she is now only on the $20 note (as you can see in the image on this page).
Banks are open week days from Monday to Friday between 9.30am and 4.30pm.
