Pictures of New Zealand

Pictures of New Zealand portray a country that is geographically unique in its scenery and landscape, its population and culture, it's birds, insects and wildlife.

When I picture this country I recall visions of beautiful bays and beaches, flat grasslands back dropped by long snow capped mountain ranges, clean rivers and streams, scenery that's diverse the length of both islands, and long roads with hardly any traffic!

NZ scenery is distinct and impressive. Some regions, locations, and landmarks are so instantly recognisable as soon as you see a picture, such as Milford Sound, Cathedral Cove, Pancake Rocks, Moeraki Boulders, Ninety Mile Beach, The Remarkables nr Queenstown, Lake Wanaka...

The opportunities for photography in NZ are endless. Stunning scenery, landscapes and wildlife are in abundance, the lighting seems to produce excellent quality photographs... although I'm not a photographer so I'm unsure why!
